ABOUT IAIN

Big heart. Zero filter.
Iain serves up razor-sharp comedy rooted in the beautiful chaos of being human. His unique style blends fearless honesty with quick-fire storytelling, finding huge laughs in life’s darkest moments.
Drawing on his life experiences of addiction, recovery, mental health and falling in love, Iain turns difficult subjects into comedy that is both outrageously funny and truly up-lifting. His performances are packed with sharp observations, unforgettable stories and the kind of punchlines that make audiences cry (mostly with laughter!), with themes of connection, honesty and community.
Stepping onto the stand-up circuit in 2023, Iain quickly built a reputation for his fearless stage presence and authentic voice. Since then, he has performed across the UK and Europe, taking his debut solo show TRAUMEDY for its first run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2024.
After a detour to perform in Bangkok left him stuck in Thailand due to air travel disruption caused by world events, Iain’s incredible fanbase mobilised with contributions to his Buy Me A Coffee account, to help him book return flights and make it on time to perform for hometown audiences at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.
In 2026, Iain launched Too Sober For This with recovery expert Shell Righini. Part recovery podcast, part comedy podcast, the pair tackle life’s biggest topics – from love, identity and mental health to money, relationships and sobriety – with clear heads, filthy mouths and plenty of listener opinions along the way. Honest, hilarious and occasionally uncomfortable, it’s proof that you don’t have to be sober to relate.
Scottish born, Iain now calls Barcelona home, where he lives with his Filipino boyfriend (soon to be husband!) and their 3 dogs.
Whether he’s performing to a packed room, MC for a comedy lineup, hosting a podcast, or sharing funny stories, Iain’s message remains the same:
Love other people like their lives depend on it.
Because Iain’s did and yours will too.
